I love the night because light stands out so much more. My favorite thing to do when I lived in my old house was laying up on the roof with a blanket and just looking at the stars. Of course, I lived in Las Vegas, so the stars were hardly visible with the lights from the city, but it was okay. Stars are something that I think everyone appreciates, and it’s reasonable because they’re remarkable. They’re lightbulbs just hanging in the sky, like God provided a billion little nightlights to keep me from fearing the dark—there’s always more in case one fails you. I love it, I love how they flicker. I love trying to find constellations, but most of all, I love meteor showers. Someday we’ll have to go watch some, I’ll be looking forward to it.
